History

In 2008, the UAE had become a regional hub and was making waves around the world for its spectacular events and strong media presence. Meanwhile, its young broadcasting infrastructure struggled to meet the growing demand, resulting in many companies having to outsource their high definition needs to foreign companies.

Realizing the need for a local company that has international broadcast capacity, Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) launched LIVE Broadcast Production and Facilities. Equipped with the latest high definition cameras, advanced graphics and character generator systems and the largest fleet of OB vans in the region, LIVE soon established a reputation as the region’s OB specialist, recognizable for its quality coverage of high-profile sporting and cultural events.

At the start of 2015, ADM and LIVE completed a partial merger, which integrated their operations and technology departments, further increasing LIVE’s capacity and scope. Building on its successes and expertise in the broadcast sector, LIVE launched LIVE Film Productions, a fully equipped production department to produce TV content, TVCs and corporate films. As of 2015, LIVE has emerged as a major player in the Middle East’s film industry, covering up to 1,200 productions each year and filming 85% of the region’s sporting events.
